BRIGHTON, Colo. - If you've ever wanted to try the tranquil and picturesque waters at Barr Lake State Park in a canoe, the American Canoe Association will provide a certified instructor to teach the basic skills and safety techniques on three weekends this summer. The park will supply everything else that you need for the class, including the canoe, a personal floatation device and paddles.

MANCOS, Colo. – Mancos State Park has opened Jackson Gulch Reservoir for boating. Mancos State Park is a great park to visit in the southwest corner of Colorado. In addition to boating, Mancos offers 32 campsites, two yurts, hiking trails, beautiful mountain views and great fishing.
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Enforcement Division agents arrested a Houma man for allegedly possessing a stolen boat in Terrebonne Parish on April 16.
While on patrol in Bayou Little Caillou, LDWF Strike Force agents spotted Tyler Trahan, 18, operating a powered pirogue with no hull number. Trahan also didn't possess any other form of ownership of the boat.
STERLING, Colo. – North Sterling State Park has opened for boating. Due to early season conditions, boaters must keep a lookout for possible floating debris and always be aware that unmarked hazards may exist. If debris or hazards are discovered, please notify the park staff. Before boating, check that your vessel has all of the required safety items on board.
(Point Lookout, Maryland) - The Maryland Natural Resources Police and Ridge Volunteer Fire Department personnel rescued two people from a sailboat at the mouth of the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay after being battered around by strong winds and high seas.
