Lake Murray now home to large populations of invasive zebra mussels
Biologists with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation say Lake Murray is now home to significant populations of zebra mussels, a non-native aquatic nuisance species that threatens the state's waters with invasion.

CCA Louisiana and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries are set to begin construction on a new artificial reef in Calcasieu Lake in Southwest Louisiana designed to create new marine habitat and support recreational fishing.
The annual drawdown at Catahoula Lake, scheduled to begin on May 1st and detailed in a Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries April 25 press release, has been delayed until June 18 to allow for continuation of oil-drilling activity on leases administered by Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR) on the lakebed. The water level needs to be maintained at or above 34 feet MSL for oil-drilling equipment to operate and move between drilling sites.
JACKSON- The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) Fisheries Bureau and the Mississippi Bass Federation have announced the 2012 Camp Fish schedule. Camps will be held June 4-7 at Leroy Percy State Park near Hollandale, July 18-21 at the Turcotte Education Center in Madison County, and July 16-19 at Paul B. Johnson State Park near Hattiesburg.
