NORMAN, OK - After a fast start following the second tournament of the 2012 season, the third event on Lake Livingston was another smashing success for the Texas Team Trail presented by Cabela's. The 93,000-plus acre reservoir held enough weight for Brandon Dickenson and Ryan McGrail to capture first place with 19.54 pounds.

CONROE, TX - There's sure to be plenty of big bites at this year's Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC) and this September the fish won't only be the only thing biting. Today, tournament officials announced the inaugural TTBC BBQ Cook-off, which will bring 75 teams together to battle it out for $8,000 in guaranteed prize money. Teams will compete for best brisket, ribs and other BBQ favorites at the annual world championship of professional bass fishing and country music festival Sept. 28-30.

This retreat is open to women of all ages and in all stages of breast cancer treatment and recovery who live in Texas and is offered at no cost to the participants.
San Antonio, Texas (March 27, 2011) When collegiate anglers rolled into Allen, TX and nearby Lake Lavon last week, the fishery was a virtual unknown to just about all of them, but the Arkansas Tech team of Reagan Moore, Evan Barnes, Aaron Sarna, and Evan Smith worked together efficiently to pick the most productive area and unlock the lake's secrets. They quickly learned that a wave of large fish had rushed to the banks and pockets to begin their spring spawning rituals.
ATHENS—If you like the thrill of a double-digit hybrid striper on the end of your line, you need to head for the Big Country—specifically, for Millers Creek Reservoir southwest of Seymour.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) Inland Fisheries district office in Wichita Falls recently completed a gill-net survey at Millers Creek and found an abundant population of hybrid striped bass. “Over half the hybrids sampled were above the minimum length limit of 18 inches, and we collected fish up to 14 pounds,” said TPWD biologist Robert Mauk.
